This article has been inspired by our Isagenix family. It is true that some of our strongest relationships have come to be known because of our business. Just like that of your immediate family and church family, in the networking world you also have your business family.
There is a strong set of emotions that are developed with each person/family that joins your team. For anyone who has never experienced success in network marketing, you cannot understand, however, for those that have, you know exactly what I mean.
I was talking with one of our newest teammates the other night from Alaska. I had told her that she has yet to meet some of her best friends. As she continues to grow her business, she will develop relationships with people from all over the globe. People whose lives she will impact both healthwise and financially. There will be the same feelings of attachment with her new group of friends/teammates that she has for her children. You will endure their hardships and rejoice in their victories.
What will make you a great Leader is your willingness to serve your teammates and support them through every circumstance. The deeper your relationship with those who join your group, the stronger the unity in the team. No one is out to win by others losing, we work together as a team and we win together as a team. After all team stands for, together everyone achieves more.
In a previous article entitled, "the weakest link," we addressed the importance of a team working together. I believe the key element to any team achieving success, no matter the task, is in building relationships amongst one another. It is a real shame when people who work together cannot get along. That disruption can not only cause issues for those individuals, however, it can cause the entire team to perform below their potential.
If you build your business right, you stress the importance of working together and spend the time necessary to develop genuine relationships, there is a satisfaction in network marketing that goes beyond measure. Melisa and I love our team. We are overjoyed in experiencing other people breakthrough limitations that they had once set on themselves. To see single moms quit their jobs and be able to work from home while taking care of their children. Helping people get control of their eating habits and losing 10, 15, even 50+ pounds, and keeping it off. Witnessing people improve their health and getting off their prescription drug medications. Watching as people learn the value of being a good steward with their money, paying off their debt, and living a much less stressful life financially.
To see one person after another break their comfort zones and overcome their fears, that they never thought possible, is truly rewarding. It is so difficult to express in words the power of developing strong relationships. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."
Your strongest relationships are your greatest assets. Make a point to strengthen yours with the people in your life. Never take for granted the blessings that have come into your life. Cherish every moment with your family, friends and teammates. When you do, your life will take on a whole new meaning.
